Harshvardhan demands Delhi CM's resignation over Cong debacle in MCD

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Claiming that the people of Delhi had rejected the false claims made by the Delhi Government as made in the Lt Governor's speech on the first day of the Budget session on March 21, BJP Delhi chief Harshvardhan today demanded the resignation of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Speaking during a discussion on the Lt Governor's speech, Dr Harshvardhan said, ''through the MCD elections, where the BJP emerged in a majority in the new MCD House, the people of Delhi have rejected the claims of development made in the Lt Governor's speech.'' It is, therefore, the demand of morality that the Chief Minister should not continue in her chair for even a minute.

She should resign immediately to pave the way for betterment of Delhi,'' he added.

He said the Master Plan about which mention had been made in the speech, has been thrown into the dustbin by the people of Delhi through the MCD polls.

''The speech should be a document of truth. But the Congress Government has made it a bundle of lies,''Dr Harshvardhan said.
