Four held for assaulting PWD Minister's son

Nagpur, Apr 11 (UNI) Four persons were arrested here for allegedly assaulting the son of Maharashtra Minister for Public Works Anil Deshmukh, here yesterday.

According to police, Hrishi Deshmukh (19) had parked his car near a restaurant late on Monday night when the occupants of another vehicle entered into an altercation with him. A scuffle ensued, during which the four persons, roughed Hrishi up and smashed the windscreen of his car, the police said.

On the basis of a complaint from Hrishi, the police registered an offence under sections 143, 147, 148, 149 and 427 of the Indian Penal code (IPC), and arrested the four persons, identified as Baljit Osan, Sohail Rangoonwala, Ajit Bembi and Khalid Rangoonwala, all residents of Nagpur, yesterday. They were later released on bail, police added.
