Forgery probe demanded against UP minister

Bahraich, Apr 11 (UNI) Samajwadi Kranti Dal (SKD) leader and former union minister Arif Mohd Khan today demanded a probe for forgery against Uttar Pradesh Labour Minister Waqar Ahmad Shah.

Showing the UP assembly website to reporters here, Mr Khan said while Mr Shah claims to be holding an MBBS degree and be an Indian Medical Association member therein, in his affidavit filed as a ruling Samajwadi Party candidate in the ongoing state poll, the former is shown to be a BUMS.

''According to the website, Mr Shah is also the member of the Medical Practitioners' Association -- a body of quacks,'' Mr Khan alleged.

The SKD leader said such contradictory information reveals that the SP leader has kept the Election Commission and the voters in the dark.

''SKD activists will lodge cases against Mr Shah at all the police stations here in this regard. If the cases are not lodged under the state government pressure, we will knock on the doors of judiciary,'' he said.
