Elecon Engineering gets Rs 229 cr project from NTPC
New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Elecon Engineering Company Ltd today said it has bagged a Rs 229 crore project from state-run NTPC for supply and installation at a Coal Handling Plant Package for the National Capital Thermal Power Project (NCTPP), Dadri, Stage II (2 x 490MW).
''The order adds immense credit to Elecon Engineering and is the largest value contract among the 77 contracts executed for Coal Handling Plant,'' Elecon Engineering Chairman Prayasvin Patel said.
The project completion schedule is 28 months effective from April 9, 2007, Mr Patel added.
The contract included coal unloading through Track Hopper and Wagon Tipplers, Crushing and Screening Systems, Storage facilities and associated Conveyor System handling Coal.
Elecon Engineering operates in two business segments that of material-handling equipment (MHE) and industrial gears. The company decided to diversify its business by venturing into making and selling of windmills.
