DPM joins Mirwaiz Hurriyat

Srinagar, Apr 11 (UNI) The moderate Hurriyat Conference, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has received a shot in the arm after a separatist group joined the amalgam.

The Democratic Political Movement (DPM), headed by Syed Bashir Andrabi, has joined the Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat Conference, a party statement issued here said.

It said the decision to join the Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat was taken after DPM representatives from all the districts of the Kashmir valley gave their nod for the move.

The DPL leaders expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by Mirwaiz Farooq to resolve the Kashmir issue, the statement added.
