Diesel tanker worth Rs 15 lakh recovered

Jamnagar, Gujarat, Apr 11 (UNI) Police today recovered a diesel tanker worth Rs 15 lakh, which was robbed on April 9 by some unidentified miscreants.

Police said the tanker (GJ-12/ W-9297) carrying 20,000 litre diesel was taken away by robbers from Dhrol-Tankara Highway near Lalpur taluka, about 40 km from Jamnagar.

''As per the complaint lodged by Ramchandra R Bishnoi, driver of the tanker from Rajasthan, the robbers had arrived in an Indica car,'' a police officer told UNI.

''The tanker was found with its diesel intact on Dhrol-Tankara Highway abandoned by the robbers,'' the officer said.
