Davkhare orders inquiry into leakage of questions
Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Vasant Davkhare today said an inquiry would be conducted into the leakage of information regarding the questions and 'calling attention' notices given by the legislators.
Responding to the issue raised by Mr Vinod Tavade, Madhu Chavan (BJP) and others that the day they ask questions, they get calls from the concerned party asking or threatening them not to ask the question, Mr Davkhare, taking a serious note of the incident, said many a time, the floor of the House is misused and it is found that members who raise an issue, change their feelings once they are out of the House.
''Members must introspect about the misuse of the floor of the House'', he observed.
''How can this confidential matter regarding the questions and calling attention notices be leaked'', Mr Tavade questioned.
Mr Deepak Sawant (Shiv Sena) said many 'calling attention' notices and questions which pertained to corruption in the government were not brought in the House and demanded that the Chairman should take a note of it.
