Complaint against Sachin for 'insult' to national tricolour

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) In a bizarre twist to the Caribbean Islands saga where ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar cut a cake made in the colours of the national flag, a complaint against him was today filed at Mansarovar Park police station in North-East Delhi.

A complaint was filed at M S Park police station against Sachin and we are examining it, said a senior police official.

''The complaint was regarding insult caused to the national flag.'' The complaint was in connection with the ceremony at the place of the High Commissioner to West Indies where Sachin cut a cake made in the colours of the Indian tricolour, when the Indian team was touring the islands for the Cricket World Cup, he said.

However, the 'accused' has to be living within our jurisdiction in order to take action against him, he added. ''Nevertheless, we are examining the complaint.'' UNI
