Centre sanctions Rs.1180.18 lakh for Tripura

Agartala, Apr 11 (UNI) The Union Rural Development Ministry has sanctioned amount for Rs 1180.18 lakh to Tripura under rural water supply programme.

An Official release here today said the sanctioned fund was towards additional release under accelerated rural water supply programme of Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission in 2006-2007.

Fifteen per cent of the total sanctioned fund may be utilised for operation and maintenance and five percent of funds for taking sustainability measures, the release said.

The release of Rs 1180.18 lakh was made for execution or completion of schemes to provide drinking water facilities in rural areas of the state, including habitants and schools under the centrally sponsored ARWSP.
