Case filed against Narayana Murthy on Anthem incident
Mysore, Apr 11 (UNI) A city advocate has lodged a police complaint against IT icon N R Narayana Murthy for allegedly showing disrespect to the National Anthem, during the visit of President A P J Abdul Kalam to Infosys campus on April eight.
In a complaint lodged with the Vijayanagara police, advocate A M Bhaskar sought that Mr Murthy be punished for his acts.
On Sunday, Mr Murthy had reportedly stated at a press conference after the departure of the President that the musical version of National Anthem was played as it would have inconvenienced foreign trainees to sing it along with others.
On Cauvery agitation, he had reportedly said solution was not in closing down businesses, schools and offices, but in putting up its case forcefully in New Delhi and Supreme Court.
This had lead to an uproar in both the houses of Karnataka legislature during the last two days.
