Call money rates end low at 3.50-3.75 per cent

Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Call money rates ended substantially lower at 3.50-3.75 per cent today as compared to the previous day's level of 5.00-5.25 per cent, entailing ample liquidity in the system, dealers said.

Cash situation remained easy largely due to the government spending. The LAF window was an indication of the excess cash in the banking system.

At the LAF window, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received 44 bids worth Rs 43,420 crore at a one-day reverse repo window and accepted only Rs 3,000 crore. No bids were received at the one-day repo window.

In the CBLO segment, 459 bids of Rs 24,607 crore were traded in the range of 1.00-5.50 per cent.
