BSP trying to sell dalit votes: Paswan

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party President Ram Vilas Paswan today charged Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati with ''selling'' the votes of Dalits and urged the people not to get swayed by claims of the Bharatiya Janata Party which ''befooled'' people in the name of Ram temple.

Addressing election meetings at Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad in Western Uttar Pradesh, Mr Paswan said Mayawati was trying to encash the dalit vote bank. BSP was selling its ticket and if it wins then BSP MLAs would sell the interests of people to fulfil their own ambitions, he alleged.

Mr Paswan during his tour to four assembly constituencies urged voters not to fall prey to BJP either as despite being in power for six years, the saffron party did not construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The party betrayed Rama, they could do the same with the people of the state, he warned.

He also urged people to stay clear of the Samajwadi Party.

Mr Paswan said the LJP would work to improve the education system in the state so that the rich and poor alike would get quality education.
