Nagaland: Bandh observed over delimitation issue

Kohima, Apr 11: The day-long bandh called by the Confederation of Phom, Sangtam, Lotha, Zeliangrong and Rengma Students' Union on implementation of delimitation in Peren, Wokha, Longleng and Kiphire districts and Tseminyu sub-division under Kohima district passed off peacefully yesterday.

The Confederation called for the bandh in the areas as part of its first phase of agitation to press for the demand of ''total and full implementation'' of the ongoing nationwide delimitation exercise in the state.

A decision over the next phase of agitation would be taken at a meeting to be held within a few days.
