Badal asks officials to fill posts for handicapped

Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today issued instructions to the Social Security Department to make arrangements to clear the backlog of three per cent quota in services for handicapped persons at the earliest.

Instructions to this effect were issued when certain handicapped youth complained regarding non advertisement of posts by various departments for handicapped youth in the 'Sangat Darshan' held here.

The Chief Minister said that the people with judicial and quasi-judicial matters should not come to air their grievances at the 'Sangat Darshans' as he would not interfere in judicial matters.

He said that likewise government employees should air their grievances and request for transfers to the heads of their departments.

He said that 'Sangat Darshan' was meant only for the common public who could not get justice through normal administrative channels.
