Arunachal Prayer Festival from April 13
Itanagar, Apr 11 (UNI) Leaders of all the churches in Arunachal Pradesh under the auspices of Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF) are organising the Arunachal Prayer Festival, beginning from April 13 at the Indira Gandhi Park, here.
The three-day festival is aimed at bringing peace and prosperity to the state through prayer, informed ACF president Khyoda Apik and its general secretary Toko Teki during a press conference here this morning.
World renowned Christian Speaker, motivator and co- founder of the Jesus Calls Ministries and Pro-Chancellor of Karunya University, Dr Paul Dhinakaran will be the main speaker of this event, they informed adding about 1.5 lakh believers from all over the state besides from neighbouring states and neighbouring countries like Bhutan, Nepal and Myanmar would participate.
The organizing committee has arranged for transportation of delegates from various check gates and also arranged for issuing temporary inner line permit for the convenience of the believers, they informed and urged upon the state government to lift the 144 Cr P C being promulagated in the Capital during the festival.
The state transport department has would ply three bus services during the night time for transportation of participants, he disclosed.
While appreciating the state government for declaring Dr Paul Dhinakaran as the state guest, the committee also extended its gratitude for the various ministers and MLAs for their support to make the programme successful.
Hon'ble speaker of the Arunachal Legislative Assembly, few ministers and many of the MLAs will be attending the prayer festival.
Everyday the prayer festival will be held between 1600 hours to 2000 hours, they added.
