Goa: All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan from May 4

Mangalore, Apr 11: Renowned Konkani literary figure J B Sequira has been selected as the President of the 18th All India Konkani Sahitya Sammelan, scheduled to be held at Curchorem in Goa from May 4-6.

Briefing newspersons here, Sammelan Executive President R Manerkar said over 5,000 delegates from all over the country were expected to participate in the event.

He said a symposium on striking a balance between development and environment and role of literaries in it would be held during the Sammelan. Cultural programmes by various Konkani troupes from across the country would also be held on the occasion.
