New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Country's most powerful and advanced intermediate-range ballistic missile Agni III will be test fired from Wheeler Island off the Orissa coast tomorrow.

It would be test fired tomorrow at the Missile Testing Facility at Chandipur-at-Sea near Balasore, top defence sources said here this evening.

All preparation for the test were complete, they said while confirming that all shortcomings that came to light during its maiden unsuccessful flight on July 9, 2006 had been addressed.

Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju and Scientific Advisor to Defence Ministry and Defence Research and Development Organisation Chief M Natarajan were expected to be present at the occasion.

Agni-III is the third in the Agni series of missiles developed under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme. With a payload of about 2,500 kg, it had a strike range of more than 3,000 km with very good accuracy.
