VSNL unveils messaging solutions for MNOs

New Delhi, Apr 10: Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd's international arm VSNL International today launched its global white label ReadyAccess messaging solution, designed in collaboration with Microsoft, for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).

VSNL International Managing Director Vinod Kumar said, ''Going beyond push email services, MNOs can now offer critical enterprise messaging solutions bundled with data services on a subscription basis, thus gaining significant customer loyalty.'' ReadyAccess provides MNOs with a messaging solution requiring no need for up front capital and operational costs, thus accelerating time to market and access to VSNL International's global data centers and service delivery infrastructure.

The programme has already been implemented for Thailand's mobile communications company Advanced Info Service Public Company Ltd (AIS).

Mr Somchai Lertsuttiwong, Vice President Wireless Service Business, AIS said, ''VSNL International's ReadyAccess will enable us to offer our customers a completely integrated messaging service that can be combined with our high speed wireless data services.

This end-to-end messaging service will enable our customers to enhance their IT productivity, at a lower cost and with added flexibility.'' ReadyAccess provides MNO end-users with a single point messaging and collaboration service, accessible both on PC/Laptop and mobile devices with added push mail connectivity.

Available on a subscription basis, the solution eliminates ongoing operational management and administration costs, and safeguard against technology changes and obsolescence. It supports multiple service packages, providing flexibility to support MNO market segmentation strategies and their customers' changing needs, VSNL said in a statement.
