Two persons arrested for selling MUDA site with bogus documents

Mysore, Apr 10 (UNI) The City Police today arrested two people, including a woman, on the charges of cheating a person by selling Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site for Rs 30 lakhs creating bogus documents.

Police Commissioner Praveen Sood, in a release here, said that Manjunath and M P Nagarathana had sold the site to Mr T Kumar.

The mater came to light when Mr Kumar went to MUDA office to seek clarification about site number and place, when the officials noticed that the documents were bogus and the culprits were arrested immediately.

The duo had already collected Rs 20 lakhs as advance.

The arrested were remanded to judicial custody by a magistrate before whom they were produced.
