Six police personnel injured, vehicle torched in Rajasthan
Alwar, Apr 10 (UNI) Six police personnel were injured and a police vehicle was set afire by enraged villagers following recovery of the body of a 'missing youth' from a well in Rajasthan's Alwar district today.
The incident took place at Balothi village under Narayanpur police station. District Additional Superintendent of Police(rural) Laxman Gaur said Nethram Gujjar was missing and his relatives filed a complaint in this regard at the Narayanpur police station about 13 days ago. The police could not trace the youth and in the wee hours, villagers found his body floating in a well.
The villagers indulged in stone pelting the police personnel and injured six of them, including the Station House Officer.
The situation is said to be tense but under control.
