Seven injured in gas explosion
Ratlam, MP, Apr 10 (UNI) Seven people, including five members of a family, today sustained severe burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded in a shop at Jawra town in this district, police said.
Shakir Hussein owns a gas welding shop near the main market area.
Re-filling of gas cylinders is also carried out at the shop. An explosion took place when gas leaked from a tank while welding was in process.
Shakir (32), his wife Hussein Bano (30), Ahmed (60), Rahan (8) and Kareena (6) were injured. Besides, customers Amjad alias Lala (22) and Saleem (55) were injured.
The injured were admitted to hospital.
Police have registered a case against the shop owner under section 285 of the IPC.
