Rao's soft corner towards VHP led to Babri masjid's fall: VHPleader
Ahmedabad, Apr 10 (UNI) Senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Acharya Dharmendraji Maharaj today claimed that the ''demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992 was made possible because of the soft spot for VHP and its Hindu policies of then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao''.
Talking to mediapersons here, Acharya Dharmendra alleged that Mr Rao had full knowledge of VHP agenda to demolish the controversial structure of the Babri Mosque and his soft approach made it possible.
''Now there is no harm in disclosing that the Congress leader had full awareness of the Babri agenda of VHP and his turning a blind eye to the issue made it possible to demolish the controversial Babri Masjid structure by VHP workers on December 6, 1992, he said.
The VHP leader claimed the nation faced threat from five elements -- Islam, Christianity, Communism, Secularism and Westernisation.
India must promote its family values to stop the invasion of commercialisation of everything '' he said.
The VHP leader cautioned that the development should not mean materialistic development.
