Rains likely in north-east, Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Pune, Apr 10 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated places in Orissa, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Hot day conditions prevailed at isolated places in coastal Karnataka. Day temperatures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir. They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, and were above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Orissa. They were below normal in remaining parts of Orissa and were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal and Kerala, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Tamil Nadu. Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, and south interior Karnataka.
