Political losers are interested in third front-BJP
Lucknow, Apr 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party today said only political leaders who have lost their popularity are going ahead with the formation of the 'third front' in the country.
''Nor there is any possibility of such or any future of the the so-called third front in the country'', claimed BJP vice-president and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha here.
Addressing a press conference, Mr Sinha said only those people are talking about the third front who have lost the elections or are on the verge of losing in the ongoing assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
Commenting on the statement by UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, who stressed about the third alternative in the country, the BJP leader said ''this was only hypothetical thinking of the frustrated leaders''.
Raising the issue of price rise of essential commodities in the country, he said it is on the main election agenda for the party.
Terming yesterday's programme related to arrest offer by party president Rajnath Singh and leader of the opposition in the UP assembly Lalji Tandon as ' most successful' event, Mr Sinha said it proves BJP's resurgence on the political scenario of the state.
He also denied that the party had any link with the Samajwadi Party over the CD issue and non-arrest of the leaders.''Lucknow police has clearly stated that they don't have any evidence against the leaders for taking them in custody,'' he added.
The BJP leader, however, was very critical over the statements made by Congress leader and Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Rajnath Singh.''Opposition leaders should avoid making statements against our leader as it will only provoke us to target their leaders in return,'' he commented.
Mr Sinha reiterated that BJP will win absolute majority in the assembly polls and in any circumstances will not have alliance with the BSP or SP in formation of the next government in UP.
