Police nab two for killing car finance business owner

New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) The Delhi Police today arrested two persons on charges of killing a car finance business owner from Rohini in West Delhi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Railways) said the police nabbed one Sumit Kumar of Bawana and Bijender Singh of village Chhinauli in Rohtak for allegedly killing Deepak Mathur on March 14 at Kikar forest in Morkhedi near Rohtak in Haryana.

Deepak, the son of a deceased Sub-Inspector of the Delhi Police was orphaned since childhood.

He had recently sold a piece of land in Karala village, in Delhi for Rs three crore.

Sumit and Bijender, both relatives, had befriended Deepak.

Sumit had been using the Ford Ikon car of Deepak for liquor smuggling.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Deepak was murdered as he had objected to the use of his car for bootlegging.

After purchasing a country-made gun, both the accused forcibly took Deepak into the forest and shot him dead.

Deepak's body has been recovered from a ditch, police said.

Both the accused were produced before a magistrate in the Rohini district court and remanded in police custody for further investigation.
