Mukhiya arrested in Bihar

Khagaria, Apr 10 (UNI) Police today arrested a Mukhiya and recovered a hige cache of fire-arms from his residence at Bhikharighat under Alauli police station in the district.

Deputy police superintendent Indu Shekhar Jha said Sharma Yadav, the Mukhiya of Bhikharighat panchayat, was arrested during a raid conducted jointly by Special Task Force(STF) and Special Auxiliary Police(SAP).

A rifle earlier looted from the police and a foreign made rifle besides several live cartridges were recovered during the search operation, he added.

Five people were also arrested in this connection.
