More rains likely to hit city within next few hours

Kolkata, Apr 10 (UNI) The mercury level took a slight dip today making the weather pleasant following heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms late last night.

About 11.8 mm of rainfall was recorded, Met sources said.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 33.4 degree Celsius, whereas yesterday it was 35 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was around 21.1 degree Celsius.

The Met sources said according to the latest radar observations there is a possibility of thundershower and hailstorm with wind speed of about 60-70 km per hour at Murshidabad and Nadia districts of West Bengal late in the evening.

They also forecast a squally evening with rain towards night in the city.

The relative humidity was 95 per cent with minimum of 56 per cent.
