Khandu seeks cooperation from bureaucrats in running government

Itanagar, April 10 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu has exhorted the officials to cooperate with the government for its smooth functioning and to openly discuss matters to address any problem confronting the state.

Addressing a meeting of the bureaucrats on his first day in office, Mr Khandu while spelling out his priority, called upon the officers to suggest and guide him in his endeavour, official sources here said.

Mr Khandu urged the officers to follow the working patterns of other states for effective implementation of projects and stressed on timely submission of utilization certificates.

The Chief Minister also made it clear that action would be taken against those officers found responsible for misuse of fund. He asked the Chief Secretary to furnish the financial status of the state so that he could apprise AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of the state's financial health.

The meeting was attended amongh others by Chief Secretary Mr Tabom Bam. Mr M B Lal, Principal Secretary (Environment and Forest), Mr A K Sinha, IGP and Mr Tajom Talo, Secretary to Chief Minister, sources added.
