Jeep-truck collision claimes 15 lives

Jaipur, Apr 10 (UNI) Fifteen people were killed when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a tanker at Kirwa village under Pali district last evening, police said today.

According to the police, 12 people, including six women, died on the spot, while three more succumbed to their injuries later at the Bangar hospital.

The deceased were on their way back home after paying obeisance at the Ramdevara temple in Jaisalmer district. The jeep carrying them collided with a tanker on the NH 15 at Kirwa under Guda Endala police station, the police said.

The victims belonged to Ahmedabad and their bodies have been haned over to the relatives after a post-mortem, they added.
