Shillong, Apr 10 (UNI) Outgoing Meghalaya Governor Mundakkal Mathew Jacob, who has been tipped for the Vice-President's office, today said he would discuss the matter with the concerned authority.

''I cannot comment now, since the vice president's election is in August and President's election in July,'' Mr Jacob told UNI.

Mr Jacob, who holds the record of independent India's longest serving Governor said that these matters will be discussed at the highest political levels to decide who should hold the President's and Vice President's Office.

''I am going home(Kerala) and after two or three weeks I will return to New Delhi to discuss the matter with the people in authority,'' he said.

Mr Jacob will hand over the charge to the new incumbent Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Banwari Lal Joshi on April 12 here.

Mr Jacob, a renowned Congress parliamentarian, has served as Union Minister of State for Home in Narasimha Rao's Cabinet.
