ISB grad gets job offer of $ 2.69 lakh

Hyderabad, Apr 10 (UNI) Indian School of Business (ISB) Dean M Rammohan Rao today said the ISB had achieved excellent placement results for Class 2007 with the highest international salary at 2.69 lakh US dollar (Rs 1.18 crore).

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Rao said the highest domestic salary offered was Rs 43.91 lakh with the average at Rs 15.03 lakh whereas international companies offered an average of 1.35 lakh US dollars.

However, students preferred domestic offers as several companies were willing to offer better remuneration.The high CTC levels demonstrated the employers' confidence in the superior quality of ISB's management talent, he said.

Mr Rao said the ISB concluded a successful season of placements for its graduates, attracting excellent offers for the students.

The class of 2007 saw 416 students earning post graduate degress in management programme. Of them, 414 participated in campus interview. As many as 200 companies which visited the campus during the last few months made a total of 584 offers.

The placement results for 2007 had been outstanding and there had been a sharp increase in the CTC levels. The students displayed immense confidence in making choices suitable to long term career prospects over immediate salary offers.

The class of 2007 received offers from a variety of companies and industries. The offers from financial services sector more than doubled to 97 this year while a large number of offers continued to come from consulting companies.
