Funds sanctioned under SGSY, RGNDWM to Meghalaya

Shillong, Apr 10: The Union Ministry of Rural Development has released its first installment of Central share for implementation of the Swarnjayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) for 2006-07 in Meghalaya.

Accordingly, a sum of Rs. 80,91,000 has been sanctioned as grant-in-aid to the DRDA, West Garo Hills District.

Likewise, a sum of Rs.5.69,000 have been released as second installment of Central share of funds under SGSY during 2006-07 to the DRDA, Ri Bhoi district.

An amount of Rs.66.51,000 have also been released to the Govt.

of Meghalaya towards second installment against the total approved cost of Rs.190.03 lakhs for computerisation project under the Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission (RGNDWM) under revised MIS guidelines during the year 2006-07.
