Father-son file nomination for same assembly seat in UP

Hardoi, Apr 10 (UNI) A Father and son will try their luck in the same Uttar Pradesh assembly seat during the Phase V polling to 52 segments on April 28.

According to district election office sources, Abhishek Tripathi alias Raju, a Lucknow University student leader, today filed his nomination for the Shahabad assembly constituency here.

Abhishek's father and former block pramukh Ramnath Tripathi had filed his nomination for the same seat yesterday.

However, whether the father-son duo would be face-to-face will be confirmed only after the end of the nomination process.
