Farmer tries to set himelf ablaze in Anaz Mandi

Kurukshetra, Apr 10 (UNI) A farmer tried to set himself ablaze before the shop of a foodgrain commission agent in Anaz Mandi of Pehowa, about 29 kms from here today.

According to police, Nirwar a resident of Malikpur village under the Pehowa sub division, went to the agent Siddha Prakash's shop around noon today and poured kerosene oil on himself.

As he was struggling to light the matchstick to immolate himself, the police personnel in the area rushed in time to save.

A case under section 309 of IPC has been registered against Nirwar.
