Diggy firm on not fighting election
Shajapur, MP, Apr 10 (UNI) Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has reiterated that he would not contest any election in future.
Mr Singh, who was here to enquire about former MLA Kunwar Manohar's health, told reporters here last night that he was not eyeing the post of the Chief Minister and he would remain firm over his pledge not to contest elections in future.
Denying that there was groupism in the party, he said the Congress will contest the next assembly election with all preparations.
Few days back, Mr Singh had said he would now assume the role of an 'Ustad (master)' leading a group of 'shagirds (students)' to contest the elections.
Replying a question, the Congress leader said the party will win more seats in forthcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections than before.
