UP: Curfew relaxed for 10 hours in old Lucknow

Lucknow, Apr 10: The Distict Administration today extended relaxation in curfew, imposed in Old city areas, to 10 hours.

SSP Jyoti Narayan said, ''Curfew would altogether be relaxed from 0900 to 1900 hrs in Thakurganj and Chowk areas today.'' The relaxation was extended keeping in mind the calm prevailing in these areas during the past two days when curfew was relaxed for three to six hours.

Yesterday, curfew was relaxed for 6 hours in phases in Thakurganj and Chowk areas of Old Lucknow, where it was imposed following a sectarian clash during Barawafat on April 1.
