Ropar, Apr 10 (UNI) District Special Judge G S Saran today reserved orders for April 18 on a plea for placing on record the income tax assessment reports regarding the properties of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his family in a disproportionate assets case.

The court reserved orders after hearing the arguments of District Attorney Pradeep Mehta and defence lawyers on the application, which was moved by prosecution on April 7.

Mr Mehta contended the investigating agency had got assessment reports regarding the properties of Mr Badal and his family and record regarding the correspondence between Income Tax authorities and Vigilance Bureau and urged the court to grant permission to place the documents on record.

The defence counsels said they had no objection to the plea.

Both Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal did not appear in the court today and sought exemption from personal appearance, which was granted by the court.
