CMP leader Raghavan criticises Sudhakaran on Pariyaram issue
Kottayam, Apr 10 (UNI) Communist Marxist Party (CMP) leader M V Raghavan today came down heavily on state Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran for his remarks that the Pariyaram Medical College's director board had no quorum.
Talking to newspersons here, he appealed to the party leadership to restrain Mr Sudhakaran from making such remarks.
The High Court had already made it clear that the director board had quorum. As directed by the court, the board meeting would be held on April 13 to request the Registrar to conduct the election, he said.
When asked about the UDF's decision to boycott the golden jubilee celebration of the first Communist government in the state, he said the CMP would not boycott it and would convene meetings on its own to celebrate the jubilee.
The present CPI (M) government had no right to celebrate the golden jubilee of the EMS government as it was not implementing the policies of the party and standing for the cause of the working class and farmers.
