BMC Addtl Commissioner has links with ruling BJP leaders: Jamuna

Bhopal, Apr 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi today claimed that the Income Tax raid on Bhopal Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner K K Chouhan's residence has exposed his links with senior leaders of the ruling BJP.

In a statement here today, Ms Devi said she had written to the Union Finance Ministry and senior officers of the Income Tax department in this regard.

She claimed that a nexus between political leaders, government officials and land mafia had emerged during the raid. A serious investigation into the matter can bring out shocking facts.

Meanwhile, IT department sources said Rs four lakh cash and documents relating to investment into movable and immovable properties had been seized during the raid. His relationship with a builder in the state capital has also come to knowledge.

In a raid on the builder's premises, the IT department had seized Rs 40 lakh.

According to sources, the documents and other materials were being analysed. The whole process would take over a month.
