K'taka: BJP legislator Gnanendra injured in car mishap

Bangalore, Apr 10: BJP legislator from Thirthahalli, Araga Gnanendra, was injured when the car in which he was traveling turned turtle near Heggebailu near his home town in Shimoga district, about 340 km from here last night.

Shimoga police said the accident occurred when the speeding car, going on a newly laid road, skidded and rolled into the wayside ditch. The legislator was returning from Hosanagara town.

He was admitted to KMC hospital in Manipal. Doctors said he was injured in the neck and the back but was out of danger. The car driver also received minor injuries.
