Akali Minister advises Sukhbir Badal to get himself baptised

Patiala, Apr 10 (UNI) Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and the Minister for Rural Development Ranjit Singh Brahmpura has advised Sukhbir Singh Badal to get himself baptised as he was now functioning as the working president of the SAD.

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Brahmpura pointed out that Chief Minister and SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal was a baptised Sikh. '' I hope that Sukhbir Badal will also get himself baptised as the SAD was a 'panthic' party, that also looks after the interests of the Sikh community'', he added.

Mr Brahmpura, who is also the chairman of the disciplinary action committee (DAC) of SAD, said he had not received a single complaint regarding indiscipline in the party. The party was functioning smoothly, he added.
