ACR asks Khandu to scrap all MOAs and MOUs with private companies
Shillong, Apr 10 (UNI) The Arunachal Citizens Right (ACR) today urged newly appointed Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu to scrap all Memorandum of Agreements and Memorandum of Understandings with private power producers like Reliance, J P Industries and D C Construction at the earliest.
'' Reliance Energy has very little experience in hydel-projects and has been facing people's ire in Delhi for their manipulative money making practices in power distribution,'' ACR Chairman Anthony Bamang said.
Mr Bamang claimed that there are documents to prove that this particular company has been using substandard construction material leading to accidents and caving in, as happened in Tehri Dam, few years back resulting in deaths of severalworkers.
''J P Industries is also responsible for cracks opening up in houses around the Teesta V project in Sikkim while blasting away diversion tunnel,'' the ACR Chairman alleged.
