4 of family killed as lorry overturns

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 10 (UNI) Four people of a family including two women, were killed and seven injured when a lorry overturned at Devaralappli Junction in West Godavari District, about 80 km from here, early today.

Police said about ten people boarded the Srikakulam-bound cement lorry at Vijayawada to attend a marriage. The lorry driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the road divider when the vehicle reached Devaralappli Junction on the Chennai-Kolkatta National Highway.

Yalla Suryanarayana (58), Yalla Rama Rao (68) and Y Sattemma (45) died on the spot while Y Ramana died at Kovvuru Government Hospital where the injured were undergoing treatment.
