3 criminals arrested with firearms

Lucknow, Apr 10 (UNI) Police today arrested three hardened criminals after an encounter and seized illegal firearms from them in Sindhauli area of Sitapur district.

According to the DGP office, the trio were identified as Raj Kumar, Rudra Narain and Ashish Singh.

A rifle, two pistols and a large quantity cartridges were recovered from their possession.

The trio had allegedly killed a truck driver and cleaner on the intervening night of April 5 and 6 and fled with the goods laden vehicle.

They had already sold the looted goods in the black market, the DGP office added.
