2 accused in SSA scam remanded to police custody

Hyderabad, Apr 10 (UNI) The city court today remanded two accused in the ''Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan'' (SSA) scheme to the police custody for a week.

After hearing here, the court sent Subramanyam and Sarasa Devi to police custody till April 17. The Central Crime Station (CCS) police had filed a petition in the court seeking police custody for the interrogation of two accused, who siphoned off more than Rs 10 crore funds in SSA scam.

Both of the accused were in Chenchalguda Jail after they were remanded to judicial custody recently.
