UP: Curfew relaxed for 6 hours in Old Lucknow

Lucknow, Apr 9: Curfew was relaxed today for six hours in different areas of old Lucknow where it was imposed on Sunday following sectarian clashes during Barawafat.

District administration has directed relaxation in curfew affected Thakurganj and Chowk areas from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs and 1200 hrs to 1800 hrs respectively, police said.

Police and PAC patrolling, meanwhile, continued in the area to check any untoward incident.
