'Stringent measures should be enacted to protect farm lands'
Kochi, Apr 9 (UNI) Opposition Leader in the Kerala Assembly Oommen Chandy today said stringent measures should be put in place to protect agricultural land in the state.
Speaking at a farmers' meet here today, Mr Chandy said strict measures should be enacted to protect farm lands so that they were not converted for some other purpose.
Mr Chandy said the growth in the agricultural sector was a dismal one per cent.
