Seminar on employment opportunities for ex-servicemen

Chandigarh, Apr 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje will inaugurate a seminar on ex-servicemen and their re-employment in Shimla on April 11.

The seminar ''Employment and Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Service Industry with focus on Tourism and Hospitality'' has been organised by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) in association with the Institute of Tourism and Future Management Trends (ITFT), Chandigarh.

The inaugural session would begin with a presentation by Major General Harwant Krishan, Director General Resettlement followed by presentations of the representatives from the service sector, tourism sector and IT sector. GOC-in-C Army Training Command, Shimla Lt Gen M Naidu will address the seminar.

Leading corporate firms from the travel and tourism industry and sectors such as hospitality and media and entertainment are expected to participate in the seminar.
