Rowdy hacked to death

Chennai, Apr 9 (UNI) A notorious rowdy 'Pull' Saravanan was hacked to death by members of a rival gang at suburban Tambaram late last night.

Police said the body of the rowdy, who was released from Puzhal prison a couple of months back, was found lying in a pool of blood, with several cuts all over his body.

Police suspect the involvement of the rival gang in the murder.

The body was removed to Government Hospital Chrompet for post mortem.

An accused in a murder case in 2001, the rowdy was also involved in several other crimes like robbery and waylaying.
