Reliance Fresh enters West India on Apr 10

Reliance
Fresh,
a
retail
division
of
the
Reliance
group,
will
enter
operations
in
Western
India
by
opening
nine
stores
in
Ahmedabad
tomorrow
offering
products
ranging
from
fresh
fruits
and
vegetables,
staples,
grocery
to
dairy
items
at
competitive
prices.
Briefing
reporters
here
today
at
a
launch
preview
of
the
stores
across
the
city,
Parimal
Nathwani,
Group
President-Corporate
Affairs
said
that
we
will
expand
our
network
in
all
major
cities
of
Gujarat
with
180
plus
stores
within
six
to
eight
months
period.
He
said
that
we
are
opening
the
stores
conveniently
located
considering
the
benefit
of
the
customers.
In
view
of
the
overwhelming
response
to
our
retail
foray
numbering
about
100
presently
operating
from
Andhra
Pradesh,
Rajasthan,
Tamil
Nadu,
National
Capital
Region,
Delhi,
Jhaarkhand
and
Karnataka,
we
are
now
opening
101th
reliance
fresh
stores
alongwith
eight
others
in
Ahmedabad
city
tomorrow.
Carrying
forward
the
vision
of
Mukesh
Ambani,
Chairman
and
Managing
Director,
Mr
Nathani
said
that
on
one
hand
customers
are
being
provided
with
competitive
prices
alongwith
quality
products
in
right
quantity
and
choice
products
while
it
will
bring
prosperity
to
the
farmers
by
giving
them
better
value
for
their
produce.
Besides
this,
half
a
million
fresh
employment
was
generated
with
the
launch
of
Reliance
retail
business.
After
its
successful
launch
across
the
urban
parts
of
our
country,
we
will
expand
out
business
to
rural
areas
also,
he
said.
The
nine
pilot
reliance
fresh
stores
are
being
rolled
out
across
Ahmedabad--Satellite,
Jodhpur
Tekra,
RTO
Circle,
Mithakali,
Isanpur,
Manekbaugh,
Naranpura,
Gurukul
and
Vastrapur
will
have
an
carpet
area
of
about
25,000
sq
ft.
